Scanned Forms

I am using Pages '09.

I need to scan a form and then type in the information to complete the form. Finally, I need to print a hard copy so that I can submit the application.

I learned how to do this using a Draw Document in Appleworks 6 from this list. It has been very helpful over the years. But I have now made the switch to Pages and would like to do the same thing using Pages. This is the only function of Appleworks that I still use.

I am able to Insert the pdf into a blank Pages document but have yet figured out to insert the text boxed.

Is it possible to do this in Pages 09?

All help is greatly appreciated.

Just like in AppleWorks, you insert text boxes. You can use the Insert menu or click on the toolbar icon. The one issue that you'll come across that is different in Pages is that text wrap is turned on by default. After you insert your PDF, go to the wrap inspector & uncheck object causes wrap. I would then lock the PDF so it doesn't move while you're inserting text boxes & typing in them.
