Footnote Line Problem

Using Pages I have inserted a footnote into a body of text. The footnote is preceded by a short gray line (a separator), below which is the footnote number and the description of the footnote. The style manual for the publication I am working for wants footnotes at the end of the document, so I copied and pasted it to the end, but the gray line stayed in the text body. How can I remove it?

Hi Rex,

Footnote (bottom of page)/Endnote (end of document/section) position is controlled in the Document Inspector. You'll find full instructions in the Pages '09 User Guide, available for download through the Help menu in Pages.

You've moved the text of the footnote, but still have a Footnote Marker inserted in the document. Pages sees the marker and assumes you want to attach a Footnote to it, so it places a separator on the page to separate the footnote text from the body text on that page.

Regards,
Barry
